Tameed is the first Debt-Based Crowd Lending Platform licensed by the Saudi Central Bank, specializing in financing Purchase Orders. It connects businesses seeking fast finance with investors looking for superior returns, based on government-backed POs.
After the successful desktop release's third phase, analytics revealed over 60% of users attempted access via mobile. As a Freelance Product Designer, I contributed to crafting a mobile interface that enables seamless investing, progress tracking, and financial growth through intuitive steps.

Background
Following the recent branding update of Tameed, a strong desire emerged to revamp the entire product platform, with the primary goal of providing users with an enhanced experience. The aim was to create a seamless mobile interface that would empower users to effortlessly invest, track their progress, and achieve financial growth through simple and intuitive steps.
My role
I got hired by IKO design studio to help them redesign the Tameed mobile app. Together, we collaborated to create an exquisite application, boasting a captivating user-friendly interface, while seamlessly improving its overall structure and navigability.
Design process
To begin, we conducted design thinking workshops, where we identified pain points and solutions for the mobile version of the app, based on the existing web platform. We then updated the design system for the entire application, aiming to simplify the experience and leverage the advantages of native features. From there, we created wireframes for key screens and proceeded to design high-fidelity visuals for each flow. To ensure a seamless user experience, we prototyped the designs, refining them for optimal usability.
Wireframing key screens
We translated the key web application workflows into Low-Fi designs, adapting them for a mobile app while enhancing the user experience. Through iterations and stakeholder feedback, we refined the designs, leading to a final iteration. Building upon this foundation, we transformed the designs into Hi-Fi prototypes, resulting in a polished and refined mobile app experience.
Redefining design system
After crafting the initial wireframes and obtaining valuable buy-in from stakeholders, our journey continued by redefining the design tokens. We chose to use the Cabana premium design system and made updates to align it with the Tameed brand guidelines. This helped us create a cohesive and visually appealing look for the app that matched Tameed's brand identity.
Building components with RTL support
Successfully adapting the designs for the Arabic language posed a significant challenge. Once we had settled on a final wireframe version, our focus shifted to defining the essential design components necessary to construct the various flows. As we progressed, we continuously incorporated new components for each flow, ensuring a cohesive and seamless user experience throughout the application.

Registration
Our primary objective was to provide users with a straightforward and efficient registration process. To enhance security through two-factor authentication (2FA), we implemented in-app verification, allowing users to authenticate themselves using the Nafath mobile app. This seamless integration streamlined the verification process, ensuring a secure and hassle-free registration experience for users.
Dashboard
To enable convenient access to essential features and actions, our focus was on developing a dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of user-profiles and activities. Additionally, we created role-driven dashboards that grant Pro and Normal investors access to their most frequently used features. This approach ensures a streamlined and personalized experience for each user category.
Wallet
In order to facilitate the investment process, we recognized the importance of providing users with a secure and user-friendly wallet for effortless deposits and withdrawals. With a keen focus on user experience, we developed a guided approach that empowers users by offering them readily available information and clear instructions. This intuitive design ensures a seamless and secure experience, enabling users to confidently navigate the deposit and withdrawal procedures.
Auto invest
Another pivotal feature we incorporated is the automatic investment functionality, tailored to suit individual user preferences. Recognizing the challenge of constantly monitoring opportunities, we designed this feature to simplify the process. Users can effortlessly configure their investment choices, allowing the system to initiate investments on their behalf whenever suitable opportunities arise. This hands-off approach empowers users to make the most of potential prospects while alleviating the need for constant monitoring and tracking.
Opportunity
We recognize that investors take investment opportunities seriously and want to make informed decisions. Initially, we provide a summarized view with key details to give users a quick overview. If they wish to learn more, they can easily access further details for a deeper understanding. This approach allows users to balance their need for essential information with the option to explore additional details as desired.
Other notable areas
In addition to the aforementioned flows, we dedicated considerable attention to designing numerous micro-interactions, establishing common patterns, and implementing user-friendly layouts. We also focused on ensuring a seamless experience for accessing sensitive contracts and documents, guaranteeing both accessibility and secure storage. Furthermore, we crafted a profile management and app settings experience, empowering users to personalize the app according to their preferences. These efforts aimed to enhance overall usability and provide users with a customized and tailored experience.
